A few chapters into the book, I already knew that this was no ordinary writer, that he was of a rare breed that could pull together great story telling, intelligent ideas, beautiful prose and the human condition. No book has ever affected me as deeply as this one has. Overall, it was an easy read, and I couldn't put the book down once I got started. The final one third of the book was executed with great tour de force and was very potent, and I found he could not have delivered a more beautiful final paragraph to end his story.
